College should be more than the acquisition of facts and figures; it also should broaden your experiences, expand and test your inherent abilities, and sharpen your social skills. Alpha Phi Omega, through its unique program of Leadership, Friendship and Service, adds this necessary and often lacking aspect of college life, and at the same time enable you to help others while helping yourself.
As a student member, your involvement and engagement is important to your chapter, your campus and community, and – more importantly – yourself. The Alpha Phi Omega experience provides emerging leaders with the development skills and opportunities that make profound differences on campuses and communities.
Because Alpha Phi Omega focuses on developing leaders, as an APO member you can hold leadership roles as a chapter officer, serve on a committee, steer recruitment events on campus, organize fellowship activities or lead community service projects. Through each experience, you are working to fine-tune and expand your servant leader skill set and preparing yourself for life after college.
Your engagement in Alpha Phi Omega is up to you, however, the Fraternity is ready to help you wherever possible. Reach out to members of your chapter’s executive committee and ask for help finding a place where you can make an impact while growing yourself.
