Partners In Service

Building A More Peaceful World Together

Our Partners Make Us Stronger In Service

Since 1925, Alpha Phi Omega has held that service is strongest when it is shared. Our chapters do not work in isolation; they work alongside organizations that know their communities, carry decades of expertise and share our belief that people are capable of more when someone shows up for them. The organizations on this page are those partners.

What each partnership creates is real and measurable. A national organization brings reach, programming and need. Our members bring hands, hours and a network of chapters on campuses across the country. Together we deliver service neither of us could deliver as effectively alone and our members learn to lead by doing work that matters.

We think that adds up to something larger. Every hour spent mentoring a child, registering a marrow donor, tutoring a student or cheering on a unified athlete is an hour spent building understanding between people who might otherwise never have met. Service is how strangers become neighbors. Peace is what neighbors build. That is the outcome of this service, and we are grateful to walk it with partners.

One member shared: “The entire setup was pretty easy; our treasurer started the fundraiser and then each individual person signed up and got our own personal code. Think of it as Girl Scouts selling but they don’t have the cookies with them!”

Brother Anna McFarlane (Zeta Psi Chapter at the University of Oregon) completed Gallup’s CliftonStrengths Assessment as part of the Chapter Presidents Academy. She shared: “One of the most impactful experiences was exploring CliftonStrengths and reflecting on how individual strengths align with our personal values.”

“Discovering that my top strengths are Developer, Achiever, Learner, Positivity and Empathy gave me a deeper understanding of how I naturally lead and contribute. It reinforced that leadership is most effective when we lean into our strengths while staying grounded in our values.”
