Our vision is our North Star

Guided By Leadership, Friendship and Service Since 1925

Our VISION Is Our North Star

Alpha Phi Omega is the single most represented gender inclusive service organization in the United States. Since 1925, more than 525,000 members on over 375 campuses, continue to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization.

“It is the vision of Alpha Phi Omega to create inclusive communities for a more peaceful world in which to make a life, by developing leaders, uniting members through friendship and rendering service to all.”

This statement is the North Star for everything we do. Our students, volunteers, elected leaders, professional staff and partners are asked to unite under this vision and seek ways to support its achievement.

This is essential to the longevity, impact and effectiveness of Alpha Phi Omega. Re-examining our purpose, values and how we engage future leaders and provide service. As well as examining what the future might hold for our organization and its members, is critical to continue sharing the Cardinal Principles into the next 100 years.

Alpha Phi Omega teaches through the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service that we are architects of our own ambitions and that each of us has the opportunity to develop ourselves to be whatever we seek to be.

Alpha Phi Omega offers our members opportunities to engage in leadership development, service and fellowship with one another. We recognize that our Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service are not only equal, but are important parts of a comprehensive fraternity experience that develops our members in community-focused, interrelated, and holistic ways that will serve them throughout their lives. This is the unique value of membership in Alpha Phi Omega.

Alpha Phi Omega members know that our strength and ability to make change comes from our combined strengths.

As individuals, we can envision change, but as a team we can make it happen.

At the local chapter level, our leaders partner with community organizations to identify opportunities to make positive impacts in people’s lives. At the national level, our staff works to provide knowledge, resources, and support to our chapter leaders and individual members.
