Alpha Chapter at the Lafayette College

APO Welcomes Back Alpha Chapter to the Fraternity

Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity is proud to announce that Alpha Chapter at the Lafayette College re-chartered on Saturday, January 27, bringing 69 new members into the Fraternity. National President John K. Ottenad presented the charter to the chapter, and Alpha Epsilon Kappa Chapter at Cedar Crest College hosted the ceremony welcoming the brothers to the Fraternity. The ceremony was held in Hogg Hall, formerly Brainerd Hall where the original chartering ceremony was held on the second floor in December 1925.

In addition to the rechartering of APO’s founding chapter, the Fraternity granted national honorary membership to Pam Murray, Rare Books Cataloger / Metadata Librarian for Lafayette College,  for her work preserving and honoring the archives of Alpha Chapter on the Lafayette College campus. Brother Murray has cared for and presented the valuable pieces of APO’s history for a number of years, while also meeting with visitors to the campus interested in the archives. Congratulations, brothers! We look forward to watching Alpha Chapter grow and provide a positive and lasting impression on the Lafayette College campus and its surrounding community.
