National Board of Directors Nomination Process

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Fraternity between Conventions.  A board member’s role is to be a fiduciary, which means to steer the organization toward a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the organization has adequate resources to advance its mission. *

Selecting the Board of Directors is one of the most important roles of the Fraternity’s Convention.  You can nominate yourself or someone else.  Also, if you know individuals who would be effective Board members, but you do not know if they would be interested in serving, please use the nomination form to recommend those persons to the Nominations Committee for possible contact. The application to apply for a board position is September 29.

Voting delegates of the 2025 National Convention Legislative body will elect the National President, the National Vice President and seven Board Members. Of those seven, at least one must reside in each of the four National Convention districts.

A nominating committee of eleven members – six (6) students, one (1) student chair, one (1) alum co-chair and three (3) alumni members – will develop a slate of candidates to recommend to the Legislative Assembly. The slate will be widely publicized throughout the Fraternity beginning no later than December 1. The committee will present the slate to the Legislative Assembly.
