2018 National Convention

2018 National Convention Dec 27th-Dec 30th in Austin, TX

The National Convention is the Fraternity’s largest celebration of Leadership, Friendship and Service, and we want to see every brother of Alpha Phi Omega there to represent the community that holds this fraternity together and to work to improve their personal leadership skills and expand their chapter operations knowledge. With that, it’s time to start making plans! The Fraternity encourages alumni and chapter members to begin preparing for this unforgettable event. Below are some important announcements and tips to help members get ready this spring!

  • Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. The group room rate at the JW Marriott is only $119 per night. Located in the heart of Austin, this hotel offers an unforgettable downtown experience with three restaurants, a Starbucks, a brand new Edge Pool with Cabanas, and the famous Burger Bar.   Click here to learn more about the hotel and to reserve your room today!
  • Registration will be opening in April 2018. This year’s registration packages are inclusive of the Celebration Banquet, fraternity breakfasts, all-convention service project and T-shirt, educational workshops and networking opportunities. To learn more about pricing, click here.
  • Select your voting delegates this spring! Serving the Fraternity as a voting delegate is a very important role for student members. Voting delegates will receive special discounted pricing when they register for the Convention! Chapter officers need to dedicate a few meetings this spring and fall before the Convention to ensure all good standing requirements and fees are taken care of with the Fraternity. If the chapter has questions or concerns regarding their good standing status, please contact the Chapter Services Department at the National Office for help.
  • Keep an eye on the schedule for future details and scheduled presenters. The National Convention educational programs are unlike any other conference education you’ve attended. These workshops and trainings are interactive and engaging, with the Fraternity’s best facilitating and coaching. Additionally, this year’s schedule will allow attendees to participate in all areas without having to pick and choose. To see an overview of this year’s schedule,  click here! As more details and speakers are confirmed, the schedule will be updated.

As you begin preparing for Convention, please feel free to reach out to a member of the National Office Staff with questions.
