ALUMNI SUNDAY

December 28, 2008 APO National Convention Sheraton Boston

Alumni Sunday is for all APO alumni attending the 2008 National Convention in Boston.
Alumni Sunday is a day of special events for all APO alumni and their families.

Alumni activities are planned throughout convention, and special events are scheduled for Sunday, December 28, in part to reach out to alumni who would participate for just one day. Alumni registered for entire convention are encouraged, as always, to participate in all other convention activities as well.

If you are an alumnus, including volunteer staff, or a chapter advisor, and you are registered for the entire convention, your Alumni Sunday ticket is just $10. (Note: The Alumni Luncheon, included with the Alumni Sunday ticket, replaces the Alumni Reception and Section Chair/Advisor lunch.) If you are an alumnus, or an adult guest, interested in the special one-day-only registration, your Alumni Sunday ticket is $45.

Only 250 tickets available! Don’t miss out! Register soon to reserve your space.

Silent Auction

There will be a Silent Auction to benefit a local nonprofit organization. The auction will take place on Saturday and Sunday and both alumni and active members may participate.

Young Alumni Trips To Locations Around The City

We are planning several trips for young alumni to see the city together and get to know each other.  The trips are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday and include: Ice Skating on Frog Pond, New England Aquarium, Museum of Fine Arts, and Museum of Science.  There will be signups for these events at the convention at the Alumni Table (near registration) and all events will have two young alumni guides who will lead the group to the destination and back and will be a resource for the group.

Printed Guides

In addition to the printed guides "Hosting" is making for the entire Convention, the Alumni Committee is making two additional Boston guides: an APO Family Guide to Boston highlighting family-oriented locations and discounts children receive, and a Boston Hot Spots Guide which includes locations that young alumni may want to visit if they are going out at night.
